12. Ducted heating fan running continuously | Fan won't turn off

When you set thermostat to ON position, the heater should blow only warm air and until set room temperature is reached. But if your fan runs constantly, regardless of thermostat setting, that’s not normal.

POSSIBLE DIAGNOSIS:

a. Wrong thermostat setting or thermostat malfunction. Check batteries and settings.

b. Overheat lockout due to a Restricted Air Flow. Check, clean or replace return air filter. Ensure minimum 7-10 outlets/vents are open, it's required for an adequate airflow.

C. Main control board or over heat switch has failed. Faulty components have to be replaced.

If your ducted heating fan is still running non-stop, turn it off at the power point. Arrange professionals to locate the source and eliminate the problem.
