3. My central heating using too much gas | Enormous gas bill this winter

POSSIBLE DIAGNOSIS:

a. Dirty return air filter. Check, clean or replace return air filter. In fact, a dirty filter is the one of most common reasonsfor your ducted heater to stop working due to overheating.

b. Ductwork is damaged or leaking air. Access the ceiling or subfloor space and inspect all the ducts while the system is on, perform a visual inspection and check if any duct has come loose or out of original shape.
